John Lennon

I think it is odd that John Lennon is an icon for peace, because he beat up his wives on several occassions-yes Yoko too.

Re: John Lennon

I didn't know that he beat up his wives, if that is the case it is sad. He and Yoko sure didn't present that to the world at all. If anything I could imagine he and Yoko beating each other up in an artistic passion frenzy. It happens. Sadly what we have in our personal life is not always what we reflect in our public life.

I still admire and respect him for his public actions for peace. He made great ripples in the waters & still continues to do so post posthumously.

Re: John Lennon

Yeah, but it is interesting! There have been many articles over the years and newspapers-tv etc that have pointed it out....It is something that is fairly common of course and sometimes the most peaceful people have simply repressed their rage or like in my case am capable of tremendous force when I do let loose.......
I have worked very hard to say what I need to say at the moment it comes up, (however, this does sometimes create arguments), so that it doesn't build up and have released a lot of rage into the transformational practices, because after all rage is just energy that can be used in any number of ways. Slaps in my intire life-2
hit someone once.
The sheer force of my anger can cause people to shake -shiver , pee their pants and fear for their lives. This is why I worked on it--I had no intention of killing anyone-but they believed so.
I was not getting what I wanted-work on boundaries and negotiation.

Thanks for posting this hon! I love it.

Makes me nostalgic for that time in Nimbin listening to Marley as we flew down the unpaved roads in that bus. I wanna do that again some time! :-*

Yeah that tour bus driver was awesome & a little freaky sometimes. I still laugh to think about that Nimbin local that got on the bus with us, giggling and strummin his guitar. Good times! :-D
